The students enjoyed the sale and they were really happy to help. One boy had $5.00 left over and he donated it rather than going to the local Mac store. The items were priced 25 cents, 50 cents and a dollar – the ‘draw’ tickets went for 25 cents or 5 for a dollar. All the items were just ‘kid’ items – no adult things – books, toys, cd’s, videos, DVD’s, stuffed toys (the hottest item). The big items were a doll house with furniture an Xbox donated by a staff member – the boy who won bought only one ticket (he was born in Sudan)
It was a great afternoon and everyone wants to repeat it again next year.
